Set out from central Florence with John’s e-bike team, then follow a GPS route through Fiesole, olive groves, forest roads, and Tuscan hills to a boutique vineyard. Wine, food, and tastings cost extra. You ride independently, so solid bike skills and comfort with traffic are essential.

“This was brilliant. Easy to follow and exceptionally beautiful route. The bikes give as mush assistance as you want and worked well. Lovely accommodating host who gives a great explanation of everything to expect on bike ride.”

2.Naples Scenic E-Bike Ride to a Local Vineyard with Meal

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 288 reviews · 4 hours (approx.) · from $95

Leave Naples with guides such as Max, Alessandro, or Guido, then pedal about 30 km through the Phlegrean Fields, past Roman ruins and volcanic sites, to a family vineyard beside Lake Averno. The pedal-assisted bikes help, but you still ride on active roads and need basic cycling confidence.

“With the e bike/ pedal assist anyone can do it! I was very nervous ( I dislike biking ) but the bikes were easy to use. Alexandro was a great tour guide- we saw Roman ruins including an amphitheater ! Would do it again !”

E-Bike Tour Lake Como and Swiss Vineyards

3.E-Bike Tour Lake Como and Swiss Vineyards

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 204 reviews · 3 hours (approx.) · from $175

Ride with Max, Lorenzo, or Christina from Como along Lake Como’s shore, through Cernobbio and Moltrasio, and across the Swiss border to Vacallo’s Merlot vineyards. The 25-kilometer route includes hills, busy roads, photo stops, and strong e-bike support. A passport and confident cycling skills are required.

“This was a dissapointing adventure. Some of the disappointment was due to the weather (down-pouring rain) which they have no control over. However, they wanted to push on anyway and instead of cancelling, they cut it to a ride that was just over an hour long as opposed to the 3 hours advertised. We didn’t get to go up to Switzerland or see the vineyards as advertised. No partial refund or any other conciliation. Considering the price, not worth it. We did a similar e-bike ride in Sonoma this year that was significantly less expensive and included lunch and three wine tastings that was amazing. Maybe they set my expectation…”

4.Scenic E-Bike Ride with Vineyard Wine & Meal

★★★★★★★★★★4.7 · 67 reviews · 5 hours · from $93Best value

Leave Naples by e-bike with guides such as Alessandro, Tino, or Barbara, following the Pozzuoli waterfront toward volcanic Lake Averno and Roman ruins. The five-hour ride includes hotel pickup, equipment, a vineyard meal with local cheeses and organic produce, and wine tasting, but much of the route uses busy roads.

“Great bikes, very informative guide, beautiful location and area for lunch and wine tasting. We loved getting out of the city and Alessandro was full of historical information. We tasted a white and a red. They had plenty of light bites to go with the wine. It was a great tour.”
